Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki is a form of energy healing originating in the East more than 2,500 years ago. A Reiki practitioner channels universal life force energy (Chi) through herself into the client for the client's healing and well-being.
In a Reiki session, you will lie on a massage table fully clothed, with pillows, bolsters and a blanket or light covering and relax whilst you are receiving the Reiki energy.

Usui Reiki 1 – The Foundation of Reiki Healing
Reiki 1 is your introduction to the ancient art of energy healing. This course is designed to attune you to Reiki energy and equip you with the essential techniques to channel healing energy for yourself and others.
This course is available as a one-on-one or small group experience, ensuring you receive personal guidance and support. Reiki 1 for healthcare workers is a Reiki 1 course, with additional scientific content and energy management specific to frontline workers who dedicate their lives to helping others. These jobs can be a tricky energetic space and the Reiki skills in this course are focused on energy management, generation and protection. You do not need to be a nurse to join us on this course, you may just be interested in learning about Reiki from a more technical point of view, with a PhD in molecular ecology and as a Reiki Master, Jodie can discuss and translate some of the more recent scientific clinical studies supporting energy healing as a valid modality for complementary healing.
Usui Reiki 2 – Deepening Your Reiki Practice
Reiki 2 is designed for those who have completed Reiki 1 and are ready to expand their practice. This level introduces powerful Reiki symbols, distance healing techniques, and professional skills for those wanting to practice Reiki on clients.
Pre-requisites:
✔️ Completion of Reiki 1 (certificate required)
✔️ Completed intake form
In this course you will learn new Reiki symbols for distance healing, quantum healing, and healing for mental and emotional distress. This course also sets you up to work as a professional Reiki healer, with tips and tricks on how to set up your clinic space, bookings and paperwork, how to conduct a professional Reiki session, understand the ethics and codes of practice for Reiki healers, and some foundational knowledge on boundaries and working as a trauma-informed practitioner. Each student will receive a personal Reiki 2 attunement to activate their ability to work with the new Reiki symbols. This course is fully registered with the International Institute of Complementary Therapists and meets the criteria for immediate insurance coverage upon the successful completion of the course.
Course Details:
📍 Delivery Mode: In-person (One-on-one or group learning)
⏳ Duration: Minimum 8 hours though typically 10-12 hours
📜 Certification: Upon completion, students receive a Reiki 2 certificate which meets IICT insurance and professional membership requirements.
Assessments:
Throughout the day you will be fully supported to demonstrate your ability to reproduce Reiki symbols and explain Reiki principles. Under Jodie's gentle guidance, you will be required to undertake a practical exercise, providing a full 45-minute in-person Reiki treatment, and a 15-minute distance Reiki session.
