These experiences are a treasure trove, rooted over two decades of ecological and scientific research, combined with a deep passion for herbal lore, cooking, permaculture, and spiritual connection.
Do you have a love for nature and creativity? Join me for one of my monthly meet-ups or allow me to design a workshop tailored for your special event, function, or retreat.
We’ll explore herbal talks and lectures, medicine making, storytelling, sketching, watercolours, nature journaling, eco-printing, cyanotype printing, gelli printing, creative writing, automatic writing, and channelling messages from nature through art.
It’s the perfect fusion of science, art and spirit.

Nature Sketching
These are meet-ups under the watchful presence of one of Tweed Head's magnificent mothers: a giant Moreton Bay fig.

A free event - usually on a Saturday morning 9-11 am NSW time. Check FB for the next event. Bring a coffee, chair or blanket and your chosen art materials.

We sit with the same tree each time and sketch, paint, weave or chat so that we can create in nature and also sit with one of our plant elders through the seasons, through the lenses of our constant life changes.

You don't have to wait for us - you can go there now and sketch this beautiful tree! Take a friend or just be silent under her beautiful protective branches.

Sullivan Memorial Park
Corner Dry Dock Road and Fraser Drive, Tweed Heads South.

Liminal zones
At the place where change can be found, we examine ourselves in nature. We learn to appreciate the plants and animals that live on the edge of change. In ecology, they are edge habitats, riparian zones, and ecotones. We use these places of contrast to examine the edges of ourselves and connect to nature through meditation, sketching and writing.
For writers and artists - learn some engaging practices with easy exercises to help you feel and then communicate a deeper understanding of place.
For nature lovers - enjoy a peaceful morning exploring our intuitive connections with nature in some of the most beautiful settings of Northern NSW.

These workshops are available as part of your retreat or as stand-alone events. They are intuitively designed for your specific location and needs and can run at any length required.

Herbal Connections
In this three-hour workshop, we discover and honour herbs, building a deeper relationship and knowledge of the plants we see and use every day.
The day includes:
An expert lecture on the ecology, medicinal, culinary, spiritual and cultural values of the focus plant.
An experiential connection - meeting the herb with all our senses.
A meditation designed to attune you to receiving plant wisdom.
Fun and easy sketching and writing exercises will open our intuitive communication pathways to receive and share plant wisdom.

These workshops include delicious snacks and herbal preparations incorporating the focus herb. They are ad-hoc and available as an activity in a retreat, or on their own at select venues.

A workshop can be designed around a specific plant.
